Water damaged product

So we had a leak at the shop and had a few cakes that got wet. Obviously we won’t sell these to a customer, so experiment time.

Made a small show with these cakes. E fired with 500 feet of clearance.

So...the results, the Speed Trap cake did not fire at all....and the Cat Meme cake fired the first shot and blew the glue off the base.

Needless to say, never buy water damaged product even if it’s cheap.

I have shot a lot of wet cakes. Everything from soaking wet cakes in the rain to cakes that got damaged in my shop. Plenty of different failure modes. Most common is wet fuse. The cake simply stops firing. Usually right as it enters the cake although some times it can be internal. Next is wet lift charge. In this case the effect might not go very high or it might not lift at all causing the cake to explode.
