Set Backs

Curious to see what everyone uses as their distance set backs. For 1.4 I typically put my cakes about 275 ft away from the closest spectator. I then put my Slices, comets, and mines about 200 ft away. Wondering if I could safely move this closer (Single shot effects).

What does everyone else do?
 
For any shooting I do in Pennsylvania, law states 1.4g products must be 150 feet from spectators -- I go at least that, preferring 200 feet or more if the site allows for it. I will use the landscape or lines of cones with tape to indicate the spectator area and limits, as well as have spotters, especially to catch any potentially wandering kids.
 
200 feet is pretty good for consumer. Not too close and not too far. If you used the NFPA number it would be 1.75" x 70ft./ inch = 122.5 feet. Does not hurt to have a little extra. Think about what the average consumer does, lights the fuse and runs about 20 or 30 feet!
 
I try for 100' per 1", half that for mines, 30' for fountains, 45' for fountains with mines, longer setbacks for NOABs and cannisters, 200-250ft at least
