We used to change a Lot of batteries for people and to stop customer complaints about lost memory we developed a simple solution.
Leave the engine idling....
You have to be careful to isolate the pos cable end, and I know it sounds like there's the potential to damage the cars electrical/charging system, but I'm tellin' ya,,, this was done to 100's of cars and trucks!
